Christmas

Ally had a blast this Christmas. Last year she understood the whole presents thing. This year she understood Santa, and that Santa brings the presents. She was so cute! She walked out Christmas morning and just stood in awe at the presents under the tree. And then, in this tiny voice she says "Oh, Mommy! This is a wonderful day!". Simply beautiful.

Still kinda sleepy, but loving her lip gloss!

Yesterday we went to see the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. We had a blast!! It was super cold, but so worth it.

Heavy Hearted....

It's amazing what can happen in 3 weeks time. Three weeks ago I was beyond happy, and now I'm barely hanging on. I lost the baby this weekend. No reason why, just did. I know I was only pregnant for a short 7 weeks, but I was already starting to bond with this child inside me. My friends and family have been wonderfully supportive, and I thank them so much for their love and prayers.

July 31, 2009

How does that sound for a DUE DATE!!! Yes, I'm pregnant :) The first month we stopped "trying" we get pregnant. I couldn't believe it. But those 2 little lines appeared instantly. I did wait almost 2 weeks before taking the stupid test. Because every time in the past, as soon as I would take one my period would start like 30 min. later. So, I just waited and waited! We told all our family last night, and they couldn't be happier for us. I can't wait to experience all the pregnancy things again!!

Dear Ally,

Ally, today you are 3 years old. I find it hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. I remember all the days we would just snuggle on the sofa, and I would just smell your hair over and over again. Every night I still take quick sniffs of you after you've had your bath. I don't think I could ever get tired of that.
I have loved watching you grow these last few years. From your first steps to your first words to every other first you've done. The way your face lights up when you see and do something for the first time, takes my breath away!

I love you more than you will ever know-Mommy

4

I got this from another Cafe Mom's blogs. Go to your 4th picture folder and pick the 4th picture. This is the picture I got. It couldn't be more perfect timing that I see this picture. I took this right before she turned 2. And in one week she will be 3. In this picture she's laughing at one of her Poppy's cats. I love the expression on her face. It's just so hard for me to think she will be 3 next Monday. The time has literally flown by.

Blah

I'm sick! The cold/flu bug has finally caught up with me. Today my head has felt like it's been in a vice grip all day long and I can't breath through my nose! I'm miserable. Hopefully my PM cold meds will kick in soon and I can get some sleep tonight.

On another note, I got into the classes I wanted! I signed up for Zoology, Botany, Algebra and Intro to Music. So, I didn't really want to take music, but I had to have one more class to be considered full time. I wanted to take photography, but it was full. Maybe next semester I can get into the photography class.

Big Girl Haircut

I took Ally up to work Tuesday afternoon to get her first "big girl" haircut. She's had 3 trims since she's been born. But, we went for an actual "style". I love it, she loves it and Daddy loves it! It's a little bob with bangs and pieces to frame her beautiful little face.

Bye Bye Ms. Kelle

Tomorrow is the last day for Ally's teacher, Ms. Kelle. She's moving to Alabama. I am so sad to see her go, but I am very happy for her and her family. Her husband got a great job offer and they couldn't turn it down. Ally loves Ms. Kelle and is going to miss her terribly!

Pumpkin Patch

I took Ally to the pumpkin patch last week and she loved it! She loved it so much her Grandma took her back on Saturday :) This is the 3rd year we've gone to this pumpkin patch. Here are some pictures from the last few years.

It's a wrap...

So I got my period today...right on schedule. I called my Dr. and asked him what was next. He wants to do a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling. I told him I needed to go google it to see what it was. And after reading about it and talking with my husband we have elected not to do it. We have decided to give it a rest and stop trying. It's been 2 years and I'm tired of the different medications, shots, sonograms to check follicle size, scheduled sex, the stressful waiting to just be disappointed and have to start the whole thing over again. I don't know how long we'll take a break: 3 months, 6 months or stop all together. But I just know that I can't emotionally do it any longer right now. Thank you to all my family and friends for your encouraging words and prayers. They have been greatly appreciated!

CD 20

Last week I had 2 sonograms to check follicle production. Thursday they saw some but they were not big enough to give me the hCG shot. I came back in Friday morning. I was thinking "How much could they possible grow in 17 hours?" Apparently they can grow quit a bit! They were perfect size for me to get my shot. Got the shot (which did not hurt too bad) and was told to have massive amounts of sex over the weekend :) Then I had to come back in Monday morning for another sonogram to see if I had ovulated. I DID!!! You don't know how much that means to me. I don't ovulate on my own, so knowing that my body did what it was supposed to do makes me feel great. So now I'm on Cycle Day 20 and get to wait for 2 more weeks to see if all this stuff worked. I'm hoping and praying that we will get pregnant this month.

School Pictures

Ally had school pictures last week. Did they make an announcement about pictures...NO. I'm so glad she let me do her hair that morning. The pictures came back on Friday...and I had to buy all of them. Not because they were super cute, but because they were horribly hideous!! It's crazy how a bad picture can be funny :)

My daughter...the bully!

Yesterday when I picked Ally up from school I found her sitting in time out. I asked her why she was sitting there and she said she bit her friend! What?? Not only did she bite someone she also has been hitting her friends. I'm trying to understand why all of a sudden she's being so aggressive?

She was not in school for 2 weeks. One week we were down at the beach and last week she was with her Grandparents in Georgia. Is it some sort of out lash from not being there for 2 weeks? We talked to her last night, as much as we could. My goodness she's only almost 3 so there is a lot of things she doesn't comprehend. We told her that hitting hurts our friends and it's not nice, and we like to give hugs instead. And, if somebody does something to her to let her teacher know.

I'm just at a loss right now trying to wrap my head around the fact that my daughter is the bully in her class!! How can this sweet angelic face be the bully!

Round 6

I went to the Ortho on Friday and got some good news. Nothing is torn in my knee. Apparently I have a bad case of arthritis behind my knee cap!!! I was put on an anti-inflammatory and have to go for physical therapy for the next month. The best news is we don't have to stop fertility treatments. So, we start round 6 of Clomid tomorrow. I have to go in for an ultrasound as I'm ovulating to check the follicles. If there are some good ones, I will get a shot of FSH to help them along. If this round doesn't work he wants to send me to a fertility specialist. Hopefully this round will work and we won't have to do that!

We took Ally to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time last week. She loved it. Completely overstimulated...but in love with the place. She had fun singing with Chuck E. Cheese while eating her pizza. And she loved playing all the games. We even got to personally meet Mr. Cheese!!!

Missing my baby girl

My baby girl left for vacation with her Grandparents on Tuesday. I have been fine with the entire thing...until today. I have the day off from work, so I'm just sitting here at the house missing her. I've tried doing things to keep me busy (laundry, digging through old pictures, a wonderful nap) but her cute little face keeps popping in my head.
I know she is having a blast. We called them last night and she talked to us for about 30 seconds before she was off to have more fun. I can't wait for Saturday night to get here so I can squeeze her and give her tons of sugars!

On a different note....
I had my knee x-ray this morning. And tomorrow morning I go to the Ortho. We shall see what he thinks needs to be done. Keep your fingers crossed!

Bummed

I finally went to the doctor today for my knee. I've been putting it off for about 9 months now. It would hurt for a couple days then it would be fine. That's why I kept putting it off. But, for the last 2 months it's been pretty constant. I know why I haven't gone to the doctor. I know what they are going to say, and I don't like it. I don't have time to have an injury that needs surgery to fix.

The first thing the doctor told me this morning was "So, which Ortho do you want to see". Last time I got a shot of Cortisone (which hurt badly). She said with how my knee is now giving out on me she can't do anything. She also wanted me to get an x-ray before going to the Ortho. Fine, I go to the radiologist to get my x-ray. I sit there for an hour waiting, then finally get called back. The tech asked me if there was any possibility of being pregnant. I told her there could be, but I wouldn't be able to find out for sure until next week. It's still too early to take a test. So, she refused to take the x-ray. She also told me I need to make up my mind on what I want. Either I can continue with getting my knee fixed or keep trying to have a baby. I can't do both, as they won't operate while pregnant. Now I don't know what to do!!!!

We've been trying for almost 2 years now to have another baby. So, I don't want to give that up now. But, my OB doctor wants to try other options if this round doesn't work. And, I don't know how far I want to take the whole fertility thing. Maybe this is just another sign to stop. Maybe we are supposed to only have one child? I'm an emotional wreck right now. All over my stupid knee.

USF here I come!

I went to meet with a Biology Advisor today at USF. I'm gonna do it! I'm going to get my BS in Biology then go on to become a Chiropractor. It's going to take me about 4 years to do it all, but it will be so worth it in the end. I'm excited and nervous to get back into school. The last time I was in school was for massage. We had been married for just 2 years and we didn't have Ally. So, I know it's going to be harder just because I have a family now. But, I know my husband will be very supportive and help out a lot. Keep my family in your prayers as we change up our entire lives!

Being Silly

The other day at work we got the new POP hair pieces, they are made from 100% human hair. The sample we had matched my hair color perfectly. So I went into my room and put it on. I thought my co-workers were going to flip out. It was so funny. I haven't had long hair in over 10 years and to see it again was crazy. I think I might have to buy it ($250...but so worth it). The cool thing is you can wear it with the headband or take it off and put it right into your hair.

Too Tight!

"Too tight Mommy"! I hear this phrase about 20 times a day. Everything is too tight on her. It starts with her pants, they are too tight around her belly. Then all hell breaks loose when we put on her shoes. We got her some new shoes this past weekend, thinking that her foot had grown a little. But, every time I put her shoes on, doesn't matter how loose I make them, they are too tight. Then next comes her hair ties. I have to pull her hair up for school, it gets way too hot to have it down. But she pitches a fit almost every morning. Then finally the car seat!!!! The straps are always too tight for her. And to make it worse she can reach down and loosen the straps. It's horrible that she knows how to do that. I have to keep checking it to make sure she's still strapped in!!! I know she's going to say this phrase every morning, but it still drives me crazy!

Short work day.

Today around 1:20 I got called out of the skin care room, I had a client on the table by the way. Ally's pre-school called and said she was having problems breathing. WHAT??? How bad, how long has she been doing this? They said that pretty much for the entire nap time they noticed her breathing funny. I'm so glad they called me, and not just blow it off. I don't think there is anything wrong with her. I called her Pediatrician, and they called her teacher. The Dr. didn't think she needed to come in. But, told me to keep an eye on her to see if it happens again. I left right away from work to go get her. I left the client on the table and everything!!! I'm sure someone will go tell her she's only getting one side of her bikini waxed today :) Ooops!!!

Mandles

My Mom sent me this video today and I thought it was super funny. I showed it to my husband who thinks the concept is genius.

It is well...

We sang this song today in church...it makes me cry every time I hear it. It just makes me think that no matter what is going on in my life..."It is well with my soul"

Tired

So I had typed up this whole "woe is me...I'm infertile" post and then deleted it. I'm so tired of feeling sorry for myself. Is it frustrating....yes! But it's time to stop complaining about it. I mean look at the beautiful child we did create. Time to wake up and enjoy her now!!!! She's not going to be young forever. She's not always going to want me to rock her and sing her songs as she's fighting going to bed. Nor is she always going to fit into my lap to do the rocking. There are going to be days when I know she'll hate me and won't want anything to do with me. So, why not cherish this time with her instead of complaining about not having another child. Look at her...she's beautiful, she's perfect, she's rotten, she's wonderful...and she's all mine (for now)! Time to soak it all up before she's grown. Look at how fast almost 3 years has gone by....

First Day!

Should I?

I'm in a great debate with myself. Should I go back to school to become a Chiropractor or just stay where I am. Part of me really wants to go back. I think it would be amazingly fun to learn the theory of Chiropractic. Then the other part of (the logical part) thinks the idea of going back to school is completely nutso! Looking at the course content, which includes having to get my B.S in Biology, is very hard. Lots of math...and I hate math! Not just a regular hate, but an actual loathing of math would be correct. But after considering all the pros and cons....I still want to do it. Have I completely lost my mind? Most likely, YES!

What??

So I'm trying this "blog" thing. Maybe it's something my family will look at or maybe I'll just keep it all to myself. I don't really know how to do all this stuff. I've been looking at some other blogs, and they are so pretty. How do I do that?? I'm going to play around with it more tomorrow...as for now I've got to get some dinner ready.
